This companion is intentionally simple. These notices explain what the site stores, what it measures, and who owns what.

Privacy notice

Analytics is optional.

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand broad patterns of use, such as which pages are visited and how readers move through the site. It uses measurement ID G-FSDET4HG4L, the same analytics property used by jameshoward.us.

Google Analytics is not loaded until you explicitly accept analytics cookies. If you reject analytics, or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the analytics tag remains disabled. The site does not use Google advertising signals or personalization features.

When analytics is enabled, this site sends the page origin and path but deliberately excludes query strings from the page location supplied to Google Analytics.

The site stores one first-party preference cookie, tlmo-consent, so that it can remember whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics. The preference expires after one year.

If analytics is accepted, Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga and related identifiers. If analytics is later rejected, the site attempts to remove those analytics cookies and does not load the analytics tag on subsequent pages.
